on jasper

Jasper seems to be holding up well so far, he misses mama and daddy but he is having lots of fun being with family. So a big thank you Suanne and Carma for being so wonderful.
Suanne(Elise's mom) and I are switching off nights bedside, and Carma(my sister) has been here a ton helping out with every little thing.
The only reason I mention who they are is because I have refered all myspace friends and Elise's co-workers to this blog. This will be the only place I will update now.

next couple days

*click links for more info*
Elise's brain had a little more swelling causing her condition to worsen causing a bit more confusion in her, so now she is back in the ICU she was in previously but now in room 205.
Tomorrow she will be transfered to U.W. hospital where tuesday she will have the biopsy done and possibly a shunt
Just to squash a rumor I came across she does recognize names and faces, she knows who everyone is, the memory loss mostly is with finding the right words for objects, such as calling her foot a shoe, and she has trouble with what year, month and day it is.
Aside from that the tumor is causing her to be very tired all the time and she does have weakness on the right side of her body.
More info when I get it.

a little security

I got news today that Elise's employer will continue to pay her as if she is working full time.
The news was well timed and now I can just focus on Elise.
So hooray for pagliacci pizza, the most caring company I've ever known.

biopsy

So I found out that the biopsy results can take two weeks to process but usually around 4 or 5 days.
Elise was just moved to 6 east room 618 bed 1.

cat scan results

The results of the cat scan came in this morning and Elise was negative for any tumors elsewhere in her body. This is excellent news because that means it's localized.
Next information will be a couple days when the biopsy is done.
Otherwise Elise has been awake and talking a good amount of the day, the first time in days she really been able to communicate more than acouple minutes at a time.
I'll check in later.

Elise in the hospital

Hello,
This is Cameron, I wanted to let all know that Elise is in the hospital with a brain tumor.
This took us by surprise and we are still trying to understand all that is happening.
Currently it is suspected that it is a cancerous but we won't know for a couple days, but it is certain that the situation is bad, at this point it is a question of how bad.
If you'd like to send Elise well wishes there are patient emails that are printed out and brought to her at her room. You can do that here via the hospital website. She is in room 210.

In a couple days she will be transferred to a different hospital where she can get neurosurgery if necessary.
I can be contacted at:
cameron.the.pirate@gmail.com.
Thank you to all of our friends and family for the support.

update january 2007

An early happy birthday to daddy Dudley!!!
Things are good, this is another odd quarter in school. I`m taking a basic computer class mainly to fill some gaps in my networking skills, also weight training again, and finally a computer based math class, which is going well.
Elise is doing well and is everybodys favorite manager at work.
Jasper is eating and growing like crazy. Also he wants to watch spongebob 24/7.

Here is some random pics from here and there including halloween, and new years.
